We went to The Lodge for a friends birthday to see Hairbangers Ball (they are entertaining, check them out anywhere other than The Lodge). Obviously the staff was trying to prepare for a large crowd and had an area roped off for the servers to get up the bar quickly. We made the mistake of being within 10 feet of the roped off area which got us repeated dirty looks and snotty remarks from 1 server. Being the considerate people we are, a table opened up so we moved to the table to get out of her way - low and behold, the ice princess was our server. Things were going ok other than the rolling of eyes EVERY time she had to bring us a drink. After about 2 hours, she approaches our table and tells us that she lost the debit card we gave her to keep our bar tab open. LOST THE BANK CARD? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Her attitude was very casual "oops I lost your card ha ha" and she even had the nerve to ask if we had cash to pay for the tab since she wouldn't be able to charge the card THAT SHE LOST. We suspect she threw the card away on purpose or gave it to someone else because she had it out for us from the moment we arrived. We then found the manager who was even more cavalier about the whole situation and ASKED THAT OUR PARTY LEAVE THE BAR because we were irritated that the card was lost and the server was laughing about it. We promptly called the Dupage county sheriff to file a report and when the officer arrived, the managers attitude did a complete 180. He was courteous and helpful and offered to comp the entire bill and insisted that he did not ask us to leave and the whole thing was a misunderstanding. This is not the only negative experience I have had at this bar but the only one I felt I needed to comment on. In general crappy service, cover charges for no reason, and extra drinks on your tab at the end of the night are what you can usually expect but I guess you should add the fact that you can't trust the staff not to steal or lose your bank card while opening a tab to the list.
